In Simdega District where the hospital is located, nearly 67% of the population fall below the poverty line, many of those included in that number are considered “extreme poverty”, a term used to describe a condition characterized by severe deprivation of basic human needs, including food, safe drinking water, sanitation facilities, health, shelter, education and information. This percentage of the population are unable to pay for medical services, which is why many do not receive much needed medical attention.
Our hospital staff greatly encourages anyone who needs medical attention to be seen by our staff. We understand that a great percentage…at least 67% of the patients we treat are unable to pay for their services, but we would rather take on that burden than to let them live in ill health or worse, die. This is why we started a charity fund at the hospital. We strongly encourage donations from our staff, visitors, and patients who are able to give to help the poor.
There are two donation boxes located in the lobby of the hospital. Donations are deposited daily directly into the charity fund. Charitable contributions can also be given through Bank transfer. Bank details can be obtained by calling Mobile 8294 034 425. For a tax receipt, please visit the Front Office to make your donation.
On your next visit, please consider helping those that are less fortunate by giving.
